Patriots Return Home Following Super Bowl Loss
Posted by Matt Loede on February 5th, 2008 in News
There won’t be any rally or parade for the Patriots today. Their loss to the Giants in Super Bowl 42 ended those plans. But many of the faithful were on hand to greet the 18-and-1 Pats when they arrived back at Gillette Stadium last night. They were cheered and applauded for the nearly perfect season they had.
Usually camera and crowd shy coach Bill Belichick stopped to shake hands with those gathered and to thank them for their support. Many players stopped to sign autographs for fans. Several of the eight members of the team selected for this weekends Pro Bowl in Hawaii have reportedly bowed out of playing.

Seriously….did anybody really expect Tom Brady to play in the Pro Bowl? I don’t know why anybody even votes for him anymore. He always comes up with some reason not to play. Really though, can anybody blame him? When you already play on an all-star…what’s the point? He has no reason to fantasize about playing on the ultimate team as do most good players, because he plays on that team in games that actually matter.
