Current New England offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels is staying put with the undefeated Pats. McDaniels name has been mentioned a few times for coaching jobs around the league, possibly in Baltimore or Atlanta, but Thrusday night he stated that he is not a candidate for either position. Both teams had requested permission to talk to the young coach, but he is not going to jump ship. At least not yet.
“I am very grateful for the chance to interview for NFL head coaching positions, but I have decided not to pursue those opportunities at this time,” McDaniels said in a statement released by the team. “I plan to focus all my attention on our postseason preparation.” McDainels is in his second season as coordinator with the Pats, and in his seventh season overall.
