Patriots place DL Wright on IR; sign TE Spach

Today the Pats placed backup defensive lineman Mike Wright on injured reserve with a foot injury as he’ll miss the remainder of the season. Wright has played in nine games for the 13-0 Patriots this season and has 12 tackles. He has played in 38 games since the team signed him as a rookie free agent in April 2005. The Patriots also signed tight end Stephen Spach, who has previously played for the Eagles and Vikings.
