The “Monday Night Football” contest between the New England Patriots and the Baltimore Ravens scored big for ESPN.  “Variety” reports the game connected with 17.5-million viewers to set a record for cable TV.  The previous record was 17.2-million set in August by Disney Channel’s “High School Musical 2.”  ESPN’s cablecast of the football game finished first for the night among programs on all broadcast and cable networks in total viewers and in all of the key adult demographics.  Eleven of the 12 most-watched shows on cable TV this year are “Monday Night Football” games on ESPN.
