Pats Look to Clinch the East with a Win Over Philly
Posted by Matt Loede on November 24th, 2007 filed in NewsThe Patriots will be looking to clinch the AFC East when they welcome the Eagles to Gillette Stadium in Week 12. The Patriots are 10-and-0 and can clinch their fifth straight division title with a win or a Bills loss. New England pummeled the Washington Redskins 56-10 last week in Andover. Tom Brady continued his MVP season, throwing for five touchdowns, including four to star receiver Randy Moss. The Eagles are 5-and-5 and are still alive in the NFC playoff picture. Philadelphia beat the Miami Dolphins 17-7 last Sunday. A.J. Feeley threw for a touchdown in place of Donovan McNabb, who went down with an ankle injury and didn’t return. The ankle and a sore thumb has left McNabb questionable for this week’s game. It is the first meeting between the two clubs since the Pats beat the Eagles 24-21 in Super Bowl 39.
