New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady had another outstanding game, going 22/38 for 265 yards and 3 more touchdowns, as his team dominated the Cleveland Browns 34-17 Sunday. With the 3 touchdown passes he tied a NFL record throwing at least 3 touchdowns in the season’s first five games. The win keeps New England in the unbeaten column going 5-0 so far in the 2007 season.

Cleveland Browns quarterback Derek Anderson  actually threw for more yards than Brady (287) but was not nearly as successful. He went 22/43 with 2 touchdowns but more importantly 3 costly interceptions 2 by Junior Seau. Brady changed things up somewhat from previous games, when he and receiver Randy Moss were the dynamic duo. Moss had no touchdowns this game however Benjamin Watson had 2 and Donte Stallworth caught the third. Kellen Winslow Jr., and Tim Watson each had caught touchdown receptions for Cleveland.

Patriots running back Sammy Morris for the second week in a row took advantage of the extra playing time with Laurence Maroney still out with a strained groin. Morris carried the ball 21 times for 102 yards, his second consecutive week breaking the century mark with an average of 4.9 yards per carry. The Patriots also set a new NFL record being the first team in league history to win their first 5 games by a margin of at least 17 points. The Patriots have only been trailing in a game once through the first five games of the season, as they trailed the Buffalo Bills for 12:36. Other than that they have been ahead at all times in games during the season. New England travels to Dallas next weekend when they take on Tony Romo and the Dallas Cowboys.
