Brady Gets Four, Moss Gets Two, Pats Slam Bills 38-7
Posted by Jeff Sack on September 23rd, 2007 filed in Game StoriesUnless you actually watched Sunday’s game between the Buffalo Bills and the New England Patriots, it would be hard to conceive that the Patriots actually trailed the Bills early in the game. The Bills took an early 7-3 lead as their talented young running back Marshawn Lynch, ran into the endzone after cutting left for eight yards. That would be the only pleasant moment on a day that the Bills would probably like to forget as soon as possible. New England then scored 35 uanswered points, humiliating the Bills in front of their hometown crowd 38-7.
Patriots quarterback Tom Brady just had what is becoming an average day for him this season. Brady went 23-29 for 311 yards four touchdowns and no picks. Two of those touchdowns went to Brady’s new BFF Randy Moss who led the team in receiving yards with 115. The running game was also working like a well oiled machine, as Laurence Maroney had 19 carries for 103 yards and Sammy Morris carried the ball 12 times for 46 yards.
For Buffalo, the day started out bad and went down hill from their. They lost starting QB J.P. Lohsman in the first series, as he sprained his knee, and was gone for the day. His replacement was the rookie from Stanford Trent Edwards who went 10-20 for 97 yards no touchdowns and one interception. Lynch carried the ball 20 times for 74 yards.
