The NFL is investigating whether the New England Patriots in their Sunday win against the New York Jets may have used a sideline camera to gain an unfair advantage. Monday night Greg Aiello NFL Spokesman, acknowledged that the league was investigating if New England was using a sideline camera during their 38-14 victory over the Jets to pick up coaching signals from the New york defensive staff. Our old friend “an anonymous league source with knowledge of the incident” alleges that NFL Security confiscated a camera, and saw footage of New York coaches giving defensive signals.

Stacey James the spokesman for the Patriots said that the club is aware of the allegations but do not have enough information to comment on it at this time. Jets coach and former assistant to Patriots coach  Bill Belichick, Eric Mangini,  deferred all questions to the League office. This is the second time that these allegations have surfaced about the Patriots. In a game against the Green Bay Packers last November 19, a camera man credentialed through New England was caught by Green Bay security filming the Packers coaches. The camera was confiscated and the camera man was ejected. Packers President Bob Harlan said that was the end of the incident. New England won that game 35-0. Harlan said that he was not aware of any other controversies concerning the Patriots.
