According to reports published Tuesday in the Boston Herald New England Patriots veteran wide receiver Troy Brown has  agreed to a one year contract with the team. The report quoted the usual “anonymous league sources with knowledge of the deal” saying that the wide receiver and the club have come to a deal that will keep Brown in a Patriots uniform for his 15th season. Only former quarterback Steve Grogan spent more time as a Patriot’s player, Grogan spent 16 seasons with the organization.  The 36 year old veteran has spent the last six months rehabbing from an operation that repaired a torn patella. Brown caught 43 passes last year for New England including four for T.D.’s. He is now the leading receiver in team history passing former Patriots great Stanley Morgan last season, Brown has 557 career receptions.
